Hi! I’m Martin Austermuhle, a reporter and writer based in Washington, D.C.

I’m currently a reporter with WAMU 88.5, the NPR station in Washington, D.C., where I cover a little bit of everything — politics, education, housing and homelessness, economic issues, drugs, culture, etc. Before that, I was editor-in-chief of DCist.com, one of the city’s most popular blogs. I’ve also written for the Washington City Paper, Washington Post, Washington Diplomat, and CityLab.
